What graphics card you using, People trying to install their new and expensive graphics card caused the most problems back then. Now that AGP is mature and dead its much easier picking the working combinations. (its why Voodoo's were popular back then as really they are bridged PCI cards)

I've just realised my board has Super Bypass and it has been disabled all this time! I might do some benchmarks with and without on my 4x Mx440 to see if it makes a big difference.

Quick question: Is setmul able to disable L1 and L2 caches on Intel-chipset Socket 7 motherboards with Pentium MMX CPUs installed? I'm not worried about messing with multipliers and such, just the caches. My Intel LT430XT motherboard sadly does not have that functionality built into the BIOS.

Did a few changes today. S3 Virge replaced with a Matrox Mystique, Papst fan on the CPU, and some heatsinks added here and there. 😁

No VLB graphics yet? It would be interesting to benchmark PCI vs. VLB on this board to see if it suffers the same performance degredation fate as SiS 496/497 boards when, both, VLB and PCI ports are included. I'm curious about the decision to add a heatsink on the chipset? Also, is that a memory …

Oh. Have you ensured that the VLB slot is reliable with VLB graphic cards under stress in Windows? I personally had issues with the VLB slot on my M919 v3.4. My Diamond Stealth 64 Video VRAM (4 MB S3 Vision 968) would overheat in that slot, but not on other motherboards.

I only have a Trident TGUI9400 for VLB and that one worked ok. No idea about more powerful cards, though.
