Ok, some facts now..... Overclocking a (mobile) k6-3+ to a really stable 600mhz or higher is not that easy, it will run etc. but getting it perfectly stable can be a challenge. When I set the multiplier to 2x I can only get 5x66mhz giving me 333mhz. It will not work with 2x100mhz.

Is that speed being reported by the POST screen or are you actually running a program that tells you the actual speed of the CPU? My guess is that the 2x66 is really 396Mhz and the BIOS is only programmed for up to a 5x multiplier so it is reporting the speed wrong. And there is no way that setting …

3.5x100 just gives me 350mhz. What would the SW1 settings be for 5.5x100 ? The manual does not mention any such setting. I think I tried all the jumper possibilities and 500mhz is as high as I can get this setup.

I'd suggest this: First set the JP7,JP9,JP10 and SW1 to K6-2 366. This will give you 5.5x66. Check that it works, it should. Next rejumper JP7,JP9,JP10 to 100MHz using the table with AGP/DIMM/BUS speeds. There are only two options here really, depening on whether or not your DIMM can handle 100MHz: …

I tried all that and the highest setting I could configure is 500mhz. 5x100. I think I am going to leave it alone. I am waiting for some cables so I can finish this build,.

Huh, well that's weird. Your mobo clearly supports 3-bit straps so 5.5 should work. But I just noticed that all 95-100MHz setting have also SW1-6 set to ON for some reason. Did you try that in addition to 5.5 and 2.0 presets on switches 1-3?

Unfortunately, I don't think so. I have both Chomper and CXT K6-2s with the same date code: 98/41. So both revisions were in production around this time.
