Just a quick note, HC and LS series might be a tad bit too slow for this task, if it's cache memory related. Mouser should carry FCT but you can try substitutes too. I'd pick ACT for FCT replacement. I totally agree, I gave 95 a second chance on my DX4 and actually I wasn't disappointed. It seems like some 486 setups perform better than others. (My 1995 5x86 felt slower when I tried it)

ok found: https://www.mmnt.net/db/0/0/asftp.aopen.com.tw/pub/bios/ap4 hmm now the board doesn't work at all does only a deep beep sound when starting. I have used ap4161ss.exe since the board have the SMC665GT. 😢

If a mobo supports 2.2V, there should be no problem with the K6-2. Another vogoner says it can even take the K6-III+ with a modded BIOS. Bought these (retro) hardware today
