Nice build ! Now you have two really similar system's, both silver colored. What i don't like myself are these beige colored drive's in these silver cases...

Thanks gerwin for this utility. I have tried using it on my Athlon XP Mobile but the PC freezes when trying to set a multiplier. I've noted SETMUL detects the CPU as a K7 mobile instead of a K8 mobile. Could this be the cause? Note that I haven't tested older versions of SETMUL (not sure where to …

Yeah, I have some silver drives but they are old and no longer work. And I do not want to paint these drives because I am a terrible painter. Actually the silver cdrom is beginning to fail too so I am going to replace it too with a beige cdrom.

there are patches for a lot of different motherboards. it's easier if you ask us if your motherboard supports them.

Thanks Falcosoft. I will stop my experiments with the multiplier because (although I'm not sure if it's because of the experiments or the modded BIOS) my KT7A 1.3 has become defective. I had a spare KT7A thankfully but from now on I'll only change the multiplier from the BIOS itself.

there are patches for windows 95, because it fails to boot on k6-2 or newer processors for 98 and newer supports the processor correctly, the extra features (integrated L2 cache) work well

You can go even lower than 300 on a K6-III+. Just drop the bus speed down to 66Mhz. With a 2.5x multiplier, that would give you a speed of 165Mhz. Edit... actually, you can only go down to 3x... so 198Mhz. Do you physically have to change the jumpers or can you just do it with software. By …
