I have an Sound Blaster Audigy SB0230 PCI. It is good? What Audigy is this from the part number (SB0230)? I wasn't sure that had EAX 3. It is true?

Yes AM2 and AM3 stuff is cheap right now (yesterday I noticed that ebay is littered with 3.6GHz Athlon IIs for $13, I doubt the price will ever go lower than that), the only problem is a power supply from an old socket A system probably won't cut it for newer boards that need more 12V rail. Honestly the conversation has evolved from upgrading, to building a new system. I have just seen a youtube video about this never sold XTX. I love these strange stories in informatics and expecially in video card world that I am more specialized in. Interesting card that at the end of this story go only 2 percent more than a normal hd2900xt.

Looks like the SB0230 is a OEM version, That doesn't matter it can still do EAX3.
