@dionb: Thank you for the detailed info, anyway, dang, that´s rather sad to read. Got a nice Tbird 1000 and no board to really support it stable and well. What board should I go for the Tbird 1000? Is there any good one at all?

Why should he disable the L2 cache or change the timings if everything works perfectly fine with a different CPU? @theplum: Are you sure that you got all the jumpers right for the POD? Moreover the KX133 board was an Asus K7V Here's other test with Asus K7V: https://www.ixbt.com/cpu/thunderbird-800.html The difference is 3-5% (Sysmark2000 included).

The only Slot A VIA KX133 which works fine with Thunderbirds until 1000 MHz, was the Asus K7V-T. I also had lots of problems with the 1GHz version on the Epox 7KXA Rev. 0.4 with freezes and lockups, thought the CPU has a defect... (the 750 Mhz T-Bird version works fine). After searching for more …

It's stable on 500 MHz area with 2.6 V, but as I mentioned on previous post, I've bought and ATZ 1.6 V model.

Well, I could NOT get this CPU to work in any motherboard. And I tried several. I also tried two of these CPU’s just to make sure it was NOT the CPU at fault. So I think these CPU’s are NON-functional. Beware, sold on eBay.

It happens that issue with the din connectors and the adapters. But on mine situation, is something different. I'm definitely assured that is a corrosion problem inside the headers. I forgot to use a thin metal rod or steel pin to rub the rust on the header holes. The K6-3s+ are better for sure. …
