These speakers do look nice - do they sound good? Paired with the subwoofer they were really good computer speakers back in 1990’s. They work well with sound cards that have a built in amp. My Klipsch pro media 2.1 speakers dont work well with sound cards that have a built in amp. They sound okay …

If it's not a K6-2+, you can only lower the FSB speed on the motherboard, or disable caches. The multiplier is locked. A MMX233 will probably go up to around Quake2/Unreal, if you wan to play 1999 games like Half Life better upgrade to an Athlon/Duron system.

K6-III + and K6-2+ pretty much trump all when it comes to being slowed down and running at full clock. There have been many threads on this, as well as Phil's excellent "Time Machine" builds....

XP 32 Bit? I will follow this with interest since I might have to use a 4th gen Intel i7, the only CPU I have lurking around, to build a small mini-ITX pc with XP for playing early 2000's sports/racing games.

Wow! That example seems a bit extreme, but the tools/methods used might be useful for the days when XP compatible hardware is no longer plentiful.
