Write the author of Dosbox-lfn or in his thread. We don't support changed DOSBox versions. AND DOSBox does not support anything but games.

VDosPlus is an offshoot of DOSBox that is more oriented around running old DOS office programs. Perhaps give it a shot?

Your DEBUG probably came from a real MS-DOS, and those original MS-DOS utilities specifically check the DOS version to see if it matches the DOS version they originally shipped with. NOPDCLIP=1 also applies to Linux or BSD systems, but in this case you need xclip instead of PDCurses.
