After all this information I still wonder why not just use a Roland General Midi module and avoid all these FM synth choices altogether? PS: Is there a demo of this game available? Curious about that PCM bug you found on the AWE64...

Older games like Keen and Wolf3d use FM for music, if you're an OPL snob a clone will bug you immensely.

Yea... Wondering which games are most recent, don't support midi and have rather complex music. I'm guilty of doing the same thing, having used Monkey Island 2 for comparing FM music although the game supports MT-32...

Oh, I see! 😦 I have a "mental block" about memory. I thought 30 pin = SIMM, and 72 pin = DIMM. I guess I am the one who's a bit DIMM. Hehe.
