I freely admit that this may not be the right place to post this. BUT...

I have a couple of old Mac games that I dearly love (pre OS X), and they do not run on my i-book in Classic mode. So I'm poking around for a Mac emulator that runs Mac System 7 or so. Preferably one that runs on Linux (Fedora Core 7), but I'd suffer on Windows XP if necessary.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Any help appreciated!

Basilisk II is a good offer, if you need to emulate a Mac which supports color.

If you need a black & white Macintosh, say to run early Sierra games, take a look to Minivmac

Klimawandel.

What ibook are you using? if it's a G3 you can install Mac OS 9 (or 8 depending on the model) and boot into it. Most games will run fine in OS 9.

This is an old thread. The original poster is long gone. On top of that, he was asking about emulating Mac on a Linux box, not on an ibook.
