I just read that most games will not run at all, but I never tried actually. I never installed OSX on my old Mac 'cause it would be useless for me, so I kept 8.6 along with 9.2.2 which are running everything except for titles that require less than 256 colours.
some older games run on classic with a g4-mini when using glide-emulation. (e.g. Tomb1)

Fine folks over at OS9Lives made OS 9 run native on the Mini.
Even got the Radeon 9200 graphics working, so if you're looking for a Mac to play classic games on, the Mini G4 is a pretty good bet.
If they manage to fix the audio-out and other problems...
