Yes. Just download the drivers from microsoft.
The wired controller requires just the driver.
The Wireless controller requires you to buy the PC wireless adapter which will support upto 4 wirless controllers. Also requires drivers.
The wired controller doesn't even need you to download the driver separately; just plugging it in and telling it to get the driver by Windows Update seems to work just fine. Plus it also supports the XBox 360 Headset (mounts it as a separate sound card, complete with speaker support).
The only caveat, though, is that MS's official drivers for the pad will treat the LT and RT as analog axes, not buttons, which means you'll need something like XPadder if you intend on using them as buttons. Or there's a set of third-party drivers available that are supposed to be more customizable.
Another caveat is that they don't support DirectInput force feedback. So all of your old games won't do their feedback. It uses XInput. It will still function as a gamepad for oldies however.
It is a great pad though. I use it primarily for racing games and emulators.
I just plugged my in and it was detected automatically grant it i use win 7.
