This does bring up something I’ve always wondered,
Why does YouTube itself only close caption into the language spoken?

Sure that would help someone audio impaired but without the ability to actively translate between languages it’s sort of a moot point.

As far as I can remember if a YouTube video offers subtitles using YouTube's menu "gear", then you can actually translate subtitles on YouTube on the fly.

You can sometimes,

My options under the gear are auto or Italian, auto does nothing

For me to attempt to translate I would need to login to an account (that I don’t have) and click on translate.

When I looked further into the issue I get videos that state the person making the video needs to go through extra steps to make sure captions of a particular language show up as a caption option which seems to defeat the purpose of auto cc.

Ah well

Probably the worst part of autotranslating on Youtube is that it'll assume it's a different language, so it'll attempt to transcribe Japanese as Portuguese and THEN translate that to english. @_@

by the way, DOSBox is not for running Windows 9x

Too bad; I would really enjoy this if I could understand it.

I'm not sure if you guys follow the Italy-based and charismatic 'Marco Plays DOS Games', but he covers Olivetti hardware (which he has a personal history with the company) and gaming.

In this video at 11:45 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eAu3DlkVQYQ he discusses his decision to use English instead of Italian.
