So when will the package be updated 😀?
with the good sapucdex that is...
Hmm, yeah, apparently I can't compile things myself, or something 😉 Who knows... anyway, I'll replace that.
Yes, it’s my fault.
Sorry, I actually updated and re-uploaded with the fixed SAPUCDEX a while ago, just didn't tell anyone. 😜
Yes, it’s my fault.
You bad man 😁
Launchpad help file not found? Will this hopefully be fixed?

Until it is, unzip this help file from 2.04 into your VDMSound directory.
Well...the beta works, but not as well as it's precedor. The sound is jerky/slow in every game i've tried (did various, but not all settings)
Try turning off the "POPF" fix, and also, if you are, stop using the "Basic VESA emulation" which causes problems with XPSP1.
Yes, it’s my fault.

Speaking of which, has anyone come up with any theories to explain this? I remember people here on VOGONS thinking I was nuts for claiming this was happening on my computer with programs like Impulse Tracker.
We think you're nuts, not necessarily because of that. 😉
Yes, it’s my fault.

SysAdmin moved the message board to a new server, so many links are now broken.
I can't upload it due to timeout issues...
Fixed link. Gomenasai! ^__^;;

Hi. I installed VDMSound 2.1 beta, and the option "Run with VDMS" only shows up when rightclicking .bat- and .com-files, and does not show up when I rightclick .exe-files. The obvious answer is to make a .bat-file to run the .exe-file.
But is there another solution so the "Run with VMDS" would show up on .exe-files too?
B.R.
could you try it with mem.exe located at c:\windows\system32\ (if you run XP that is and have installed it to c:\windows).
If it works there you have not yet tried it with true dos executables (it makes no sense for windows executables to show the "run with VDMS).
I tried it with mem.exe, and the "Run with VDMS" showed up! I obviously did not try with the right files. How does it recognize if it's a true DOS executable or not?
I believe that Windows EXEcutables have a special header/signature in them consisting of a special sequence of bytes that Windows recognizes and interprets.
It does, trust me! 😁
