Hoping to get rid of all of the QEMU entries on my list and replace them with Vmware.
I currently have Vmware Workstation 5/6, Vmware Server, and Qemu on the list.
Previously I was replacing Qemu with Vmware Server but seeing the direction that Vmware server is going (no local GUI just a web interface...like the old ver of Virtual Server), I'm now going to replace ALL entries with Vmware Workstation 6.
So 98SE/NT4 they will use Vmware Workstation 4.5
2000, XP32 and 64bit, 2003 32 and 64bit, Vista 32 and 64bit, 2008 32 and 64bit will all use Vmware Workstation 6.
Linux will also use Vmware Workstation 6.
Again Virtual PC/Virtual server will not be used because they are not cross platform, not being developed and I just don't like them 😀
The only issue with using Vmware Workstation (ignoring the fact that it's not GPL) is that you have to pay for it. Too bad people. Pay for it, it's worth it.
Also since all the games I test in Vmware Workstation use GDI/DirectDraw then they should work fine in VPC/Virtual Server.
