I can't get any doom-based game to run at all. They all hang at startup, no matter what experiments I try with the settings. (I'm running win2k sp2). Anybody know what's going on?

Need CLI2NOP under NT & 2k. "Update 1" for VDMSound 2.0.4 will do the trick for XP (but NOT 2k and NT4, though).
Search http://groups.google.com/ for CLI2NOP or look for CLI2NOP on the various Vogons boards.

Glad you posted that. Why is it that so many people still don't know about the source ports. I usually direct people to doomworld.com so they can check the other ports as well.

Actually I do have jdoom, as well as zdoom, as well as a port for heretic that i forget the name of (reALLY must clean up my incoming files dir), and my copy of hexen on cd has a directx port on it... I wanted to get the originals working, for my own reasons...
