Hello!

I have a annoying problem with VDMS (2.1). I only get adlib music when i run dos games, never any sound fx (except for pc-speaker). Every game says that
the soundblaster card doesn't respond on the selected port or something like that, and i've tried changing addresses, irq's, dma's etc.. I have also edited out the ms emu thingie from autoexec.nt so that's out of the way.
And searching this forum, i found a post by 'Nicht Sehr Gut' in which he wrote something about there are programs that access the hardware directly or something, I don't think i have any of those either (no hw info tools at least).
Computer specs are:
Athlon XP 2400, Soundblaster Live 5.1, Geforce 4 Ti-4200, a gig of ram, and plenty hd bla bla bla. hmm, oh yeah, running XP SP2 and the latest of all drivers installed for the hw.

Would be great if anybody knows anything about this?
Is it some via chipset trouble or something?
