Nothing works with Windows ME.....not even itself. 😉
Upgrade to Windows 98SE.

There is only alpha version for win98. I've tried it, but it didn't work fine... it was very unstable, once time it worked, other time not, and win98 crashed.
If you are using onboard sound card, look, if your motherboard supports soundblaster or general midi. (it should be in BIOS like soundblaster pro)
