When I try to run system shock with VDMSound 2.10, I get the error message:

VDMS Launchpad - CDSHOCK
The system cannot open COM2 port requested by the application.

This is my first time to use VDMSound, so I tried to follow Nicht Sehr Gut's noobie guide as closely as I could (though I'll have to admit, his guide is very vague and scattered out of order.) Given that I didn't understand much of his guide, I might have messed up somewhere while setting up my game with VDMSound. These are the steps I took:

1) I installed VDMS. The guide said I would be prompted to reboot after the install, but I never was, so I didn't reboot.

2) I installed System Shock without VDMS.

3) I opened the config program in my system shock directory using VDMS. I set both music and digital sound to sound blaster 16, and made sure all the dma's, irq's, etc were right.

4) I ran system shock using VDMS. I got the error message.
