every time i try to run VDM sound on a game ( batch file ) it gives me this error message along with a whole bunch of other similar errors:

Unable to Instantiate emulation module "VDMServicesProvider"

0x800401f3 - Invalid class string (C:\PROGRA~1\VDMSound\VDMS.INI:66

it looks like im missing a path in the INI file. does anybody know what i can do to fix this?

Try uninstalling VDMS and reinstalling it.

which version of VDMSound should i use for windows xp sp2? 2.0.4 or 2.10?

Having same kind of problem with fresh install of recent VDMsound - attempting to launch a VDMS.bat returns a bunch of errors about soundblaster, midi, joystik and all, beginning with a string WiseMan posted.

Registering ATL.dll with regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\ATL.DLL didn`t do it.
