Ok i have downloaded dosbox first of all, the game started , but it lagged ALOT!!!! and then after i downloaded VDMSound, and well when im trying to play the games (i have only tried Redneck rampage and shadow warrior) then i get a error message that says: DPMI_mapPhysicalToLinear Failed! what should i do? i really really really wanna play! 🙄

You need to download "NOLFB" or "NOLFBLIM" from the "Deep Thought" section of this forum to "fix" the "DPMI_mapPhysicalToLinear" errors.

I too have this error, I am using VDMSound to run Duke3D, and the same message pops up.

I downloaded 'NOLFB', and it plays the game perfectly, but when I run Duke3D through NOLFB the sound doesnt work because its not running through VDMSound anymore.

Is there a way of having both sound and video for it?

Run NOLFB and then DOSDRV (VDMSOund command).
