I got the game working pretty good except for a few minor points. The intro stutters and when the main menu pops up it looks like it is tripping on acid, all weird colors, and i can't read the text on the buttons i have tried the x3svga.zip patch but it doesn't seem to do anything.. Please any help would be much appricated. i am using the 2.1 version of VMDS i followed the guide from the site at How I got X-com Apoc, running in Xp.

System spec are as follows.
1.g sddr2 ram
512 mb radeon 1600 pro
2.4 g dual core pentium processor
sound card it on the motherboard but using VMDS anyways for this.
windows xp pro

Well i found a different soultuion for those out their with my problem use dosbox, combined with d-fend to help you set it all up, so you can play at the touch of a button. Nothing else worked but that did. i think it had something do with with how windows and my video card were trying to produce the graphics. it didn't like something on the top end of the processing.
