This place seems pretty dead but it's the only game in town for VDMSound support so I thought I'd at least try. On my ATI 1950x based system, VDMSound shows SVGA & high res modes above 320X240 with severe color distortion but not in standard VGA. What could be the problem?

VDMSound has nothing to do with video.

If your playing a BUILD engine game and you are using NTVDM then you should be using NOLFB.

If you are play Duke3D or Shadow Warrior you should be using the ports.

Thanks for the prompt answer. Actually, I'm attempting to play Azrael's Tear (much too slow under DOSBox unless I select the horrible lowest resolution) but any game I try to play with VDMSound (e.g. Terminal Velocity) in NTVDM under XP comes out all color saturated with high rez video modes. VGA plays fine. I wonder what the problem could be. Maybe an ATI Catalyst driver issue (9.3)?
