Has anybody tried tv sports football with the pc internal speaker?

I can load the gama and it makes all the correct clicks and dings when you are specify the settings, (pc-speaker or none) and the keys, but once the game loads then no sound ever comes though the pc-speaker, no in tackle sound etc. Am pretty sure it was a pc speaker only game.
