good evening,

since I stumbled across this site two days ago I'm thinking that it might be possible to getting TR1 started on my pc. But the amount of information here is confusing me quite a bit. Do I only need glidos , or is the dosbox required too? And are there more files I have to use, eg. the audiopack or tomb.exe? I`m looking forward to your support and apologize for my poor english.

OS: WinXP Home
CPU: Pentium M 1,8 MHz
RAM: 1 GB
VGA: onboard Intel 910GL (will be upgraded soon: ATI 3450)
Sound: onboard Realtek ALC880

GLIDOS is needed if you want to play the Glide version of TR, if you have an old computer that cannot run DOSBox properly, or if you want to use the extra audio/texture packs.

DOSBox is used if you have a more powerful computer and you just want to play Tomb Raider without having to bother with trying to get Tomb Raider working in Windows. (NTVDM issues, audio issues, video driver issues, etc etc.)

So with the computer specs you listed above GliDOS is what you need. It's not free though so you'll have to pay for it. (If you like TR you should pay for it).

I doubt that GLIDOS will like your Intel video card tho.
