Glidos won't start

I've installed the Tomb Raider files using the TR installer and installed Glidos 1.24 but when I click on the glidos icon I get the following error messages pop up:

"The GLIDOS.EXE file is
linked to missing export DINPUT.DLL DirectInputCreateEx."

"C:\Program Files\Glidos\Glidos.exe
A device attached to the the system is not functioning."

I've tried installing without sound but the result is the same.

This is mentioned in another thread, and someone found a solution. Try using the Vogons search facility with DINPUT as the search word.

I'm sure there was another thread...

Anyway, isn't this just a case of installing the latest DirectX from Microsoft?
