Guys, I've sorted it.

Firstly, it seems it's not driver related. I tried all the latest Nvidia drivers and had the same results. But for what it's worth, I've settled for the new 31.50's for WinME.

The problem lies in the different glide2x.dll files out there, and the different Openglide.ini's.

You need to have the latest Glide2x.dll (116k), NOT the older openglide one thats around 92k.
Put this in your GliDOS folder and in your Windows/System folder.

Delete any Openglide.ini in the Glidos folder, and run glidos, then blood.

It should recreate a new openglide.ini based on the newer glide2x.dll.

Mine now looks like this

Configuration File for OpenGLide

Version=Version0.07b4

[Options]
EnableMMX=0
CreateWindow=0
InitFullScreen=0
EnableMipMaps=0
IgnorePaletteChange=0
EnableFog=1
EnablePrecisionFix=1
EnableWrap565=0
EnableMultiTextureEXT=1
EnablePaletteEXT=1
EnablePackedPixelsEXT=0
EnableVertexArrayEXT=0
EnableSecondaryColorEXT=0
EnableFogCoordEXT=1
TextureMemorySize=16
WrapperPriority=2
FrameBufferMemorySize=8

I haven't changed a thing, merely let glidos create this, and everything now works.
Resolution was 640x480 for all.
Also, if you want to play fullscreen, you have to change "InitFullScreen" to 1, and not in the glidos server.

Don't jump the gun. Here's a pic from the 1st part of the 1st level, right after opening the doors in the crypt. You can see the gravestone and the post near it clearly. There's still a problem with erasing and re-drawing on mine. Using the latest OpenGlide DLL. Closer to what it should be, though.

They *do* work, are you talking about in general, Paul ?

Look at this screen from the SETMAIN.EXE, then "Setup Mouse".

I mean, I want them to work with Glidos's mouse driver. Although your method has the advantage of working even when windowed, I still think my driver may be needed for XP and 2K.

Anyway, I've more or less sussed it now. Blood is using int 33h ax=5, and I can handle that fairly simply.

What blood looks like on my winxp (still not sure why it even works?)

That's exactly how it look for me when I have the resolutions mismatched. Exactly.

Ah, you must have BUILD_640X480 set to 1. It doesn't mean what it says. It means use the value sin the cfg file.

Yes, I'm using the latest OpenGLide here. Sorry I should have said. I didn't think it was relevant.

Okay, so now what about the W2K problem?

Could someone please include what settings they're using in the Glidos.ini file to get this to work? And also their blood.bat file? Do I need NOLFB running? SAPUCDEX? I just can't seem to get it to run. I get the initialization infos, and with SAPUCDEX it finds the CD audio tracks (without SAPUCDEX it doesn't), but neither seems to work. I just get a blank screen with some grey boxes (which I think are from windows that are open in Windows).

Yes, it’s my fault.
