When all is working correctly, just exiting the game works fine. What are you doing, and what are the results?

I am playing TR1 - I try using Alt + 4 to stop the game, I try using 'close' on the glidos icon in the tool bar - and nothing happens. I do get a 'read error' message once i do get out.

Should I try reinstalling?

The thing to do is close TR1 down using the spinning menu, just as you would if you were playing TR1 under DOS.
