Hi guys,

I remember playing hi-res Redneck Rampage on GliDOS back in the day with Windows 2000, it was a blast! 😏

Now I want to try it again but my memory is a bit rusty, What do I need to make it run again?

I have all the redneck games and the latest GliDOS version (v1.4), what else would I need?

And is there a high resolution texture pack for it yet?

Thanks, 😁

I think you are out of luck. Some of the Glidos games can be made to work under Vista using VDos32, but RR is a build engine game like Blood, and as yet I haven't been able to make Blood work.

Oh yeah, that's right. Someone set it up running under Glidos, but it turned out that Glidos was just starting the game, not doing anything else useful.

DOSBox, yes. Sorry, don't know why DOSBox didn't come to mind... reminds me, I must look into getting DOSBox to drive Glidos.

I see ..

But I could swear that playing Redneck on was a major graphical improvement!

so I'll just need the good ol' DOSBox to run Redneck? Cool!

Thanks guys!

As far as I know, the Redneck series were never offered with 3D acceleration, but they do support high resolutions up to 1600x1200 if your CPU can handle it and you have the appropriate VESA video card capabilities.
