At the st francis folly's level, it is impossible for me to save the game, the game freezes almost everytime time i want to save it...

paul is the expert , but I believe the *.3df files are automatically generated for the '3dfx' glide additions .

as for the save files it's seems as though you may have a localized problem with either your hardware or your install .

most of my Tr disks are pushing ten years old and have some wear and tear on them . first thing to check is that your disk is clean and scratch free .

them try re-installing Tombraider in a different folder and running it and glidos from there

But are you sure there is a link between saves and disks quality?
Mine is fine, some little scratches but i think it's good...

I have already re-installed TR1 and updated my graphic card drivers...

May be the settings of Glidos are not good. I don't know if there is a tutorial somewhere....

You could try using VDos32. That can often isolate you from problems specific to your system. All you have to do is drop VDos32.exe into the glidos folder, and configure glidos to use it.

There is something strange, when i use VDos32, my paddle doesn't work correctly.
The joystick doesn't work (but buttons are ok)...

Oh Damn! I'm afraid that's not strange at all: VDos32 has no joystick support.

Probably that's no good to you, but did it fix the load/save problems?

I tried to save 6 times and everything was ok! No crash, no freeze! (Midas Palace)
But sometimes, that happens too when i don't use Vdos32...but so rarely!!! 😀

Unfortunately, the joystick of my paddle is not working (but buttons and directional pad of the paddle work fine!) and i use to play with it 🙁

May be in a next version of Vdos32 😉

Another problem with Glidos and Vista: My Glidos ID changes every time i restart my computer so it 's impossible not to have the Glidos logo during game 🙁

I saw a similar topic on vogons and dowloaded a glidos v1.41a file to put in the glidos folder.... But the problem is the same....

I don't know if there i a link but Vdos32 needs to be unlocked every time i restart my computer too...

Try running the MIB program fromt the same thread and post outputs from before and after a reboot. That should tell me what is going on.
