I am having problems due to the fact that I am a slave to the microsoft corporation. I cannot seem to get Carmageddon to load correctly. I get the makers, game logos to appear then the game seems to freeze. I have unfortunately Windows XP. I know that some one can help me. Thanks😕

Really need more info than that. Also, before you post; you can save your self (and ourselves) some legwork by using the "quick search" function near the top of the page. Just type in a keyword most likely to match your topic (in this case: Carmageddon).
Having said that, all but one are about running it with GliDOS and there's not a lot of consistency:

Since there's precious little discussion on it, I recommend the minimalist one-step-at-a-time approach. Configure the game to run at VGA (320x200) resolution with no sound (no GliDOS). Does it work that way?
