I just installed Glidos and have a few problems --

There is a randomly spinning Glidos logo in the middle of the screen.

The fonts (for loading levels and what-not) are choppy and difficult to read.

I tried to load a game in Atlantis and the screen stayed black -- no sounds or anything. The desktop on my computer turned various random dark colors.

Any advice?

Glidos is shareware, and the logo is there until you register. It
shouldn't appear for the first two levels. If it does, sometimes pressing F4 and restarting the game can help, but for some versions of TR free-first-level feature doesn't work.

They aren't very high qulity fonts but they shouldn't be hard to read, unless you have a transparemcy problem.

I downloaded a collection of savedgmaes, and one of the Atlantis ones didn't work. The file may be corrupt.

Activating antialiasing in your video driver helps a lot. Unless, as Paul says, you have a transparency problem (big brown patches around the letters, that kind of things).
