I have Win7 pro 32 bit. I installed Vdmsound, and glidos. Then I installed Carmageddon with vdms. After the game installs I set up the sound.
Now I try and install the 3dfx patch and I get this error:

" VDMS Launchpad- 3DFXcarma.exe This system does not support full screen mode. Choose close to terminate application"

Any ideas? I can run the dos version of carmageddon in Dosbox.

You can't run DOS programs fullscreen in Windows Vista+ using NTVDM if you are using WDDM (Vista/7 Video driver).

If you want to run DOS programs in NTVDM in fullscreen then you need to install the Windows XP video card drivers.

Also AFAIK VDMSound isn't compatible with Windows Vista+.

And VDos32 wont help you because I never managed to get it to support Carmageddon (VDos32 allows several games to run under 32bit Vista/W7 with Glidos).

But I'm working on making Glidos work with Dosbox. If that works out ok, it'll give a solution for all OSes.

Well, I do still have XP installed on another HD, so I can still boot into XP and play the game. I was thinking of trying it in XP Virtual mode, but I noticed Win 7 only allocates 500mb of memory to XP in virtual mode, and that wouldn't be enough.
