Hi again. New problem in sight. Tomb Raider - Level 5 St Francis' Folly

There's just something wrong with the field of view right from the very first minute of this level. Looks like the image is permanently zoomed in, therefore the field of view is dramatically reduced compared to the previous levels. Lara looks like advancing forward slower. Of course she doesn't, and the gameplay speed is correct, it's just an effect of this "zoom in" issue. As a result, measuring jumping and stuff is a pain in the neck, not enjoyable at all I must say. I don't know if this happens in the subsequent levels. What I do know is that it didn't happen on the psx version.

Have you ever heard of this?
Thanks again 😊

I have seen the problem you describe, but not for ages, and I can't remember the cause, or if I ever knew what the cause was. It's the game rather than Glidos, but something is confusing the game. Are you using VDos32? It might have been something to do with that.

If I remember rightly, saving and reloading used to sort it out.

Oh my, I just saved the game and that solved it. No need to reload, just save and go back to the game...Weird, isn't it?
Thank you 😉

Edit: I'm using DOSBox, not VDos32 (I´m using Win7 64bit)

Great. Glad that's sorted. It may be you don't even need to save, just ESC to pause the game, and ESC again to resume.

ESC is all you need, you are right 😉
So no need to save/load/whatever, only Esc x2
