Yesterday I was testing and it looks much better than any other glide wrapper.

Dgvoodoo is the only one that gives me a satisfactory result in image quality. No more washed textures!

Nglide, Glidos or Dosbox do not get the same result
It is not possible in any other wrapper?

Best to ask the wrapper developers.

You can use any glide wrapper with DOSBox even dgvoodoo.

Unfortunately I have a pc with windows 7 64 bit and not work dgvoodoo.

Glidos + best control gamma = perfect glide wrapper.

Glidos has an adjustable slider for Glidos. I have W7 64bit and an nVidia card. I just checked that the slider is working okay and it seems to.

Anyway, the best way to avoid washed out colours is to use one of the TRX texture packs.

Yes, I know, but do not get the same color / contrast / brightness with other glide wrappers, including Glidos.

The best quality in dgvoodoo:

Well, you can adjust the gamma to your liking, but the result will always be better than another glide wrapper.

hard to say cause right now it looks extremally shitty, it is just way brighter, has like very very low quality of textures (also water looks very very poor).
if you say you like it, say you like it, but don't say it looks better cause it looks way worse heh

The textures are worse because in Glidos I use a texture pack and dgvoodoo uses de default textures.

I refer to the difference in the gamma control of the game according to the program you use, nothing more.

As much as change the value of gamma in Glidos, it does not improve the image of Tomb Raider.

PD: sorry for my english 😜

Can you post comparisons with both wrappers using the default textures? The comparison with different textures tells us nothing: some of the texture packs are darker than the default.

It does look like dgVoodoo might be magnifying the contrast. If so, that will give the image more punch, but will crush the blacks and overdrive the whites. Perhaps dgVoodoo has an adjustment for that?

Dgvoodoo:

Default Gamma (100%)

125%

175%

Glidos:

Default Gamma (1.0)

1.25

1.75

Unfortunately I've noticed that the screenshots (with FRAPS) of Glidos not respect the original quality and are all equal. Possibly because the gamma control behaves differently from dgvoodoo, instead dgvoodoo screenshots are faithful to the actual game. I do not understand.

I can edit the screenshots of Glidos to resemble as much as possible to how I see the game with this wrapper.

as an example

would be an option to be considered for future versions of Glidos.
It goes very well to increase the contrast of the game and eliminates washed colors.

I'll give it some thought, but the game isn't supposed to look like that. It's set in a cave. Where's the bright sun light coming from that would explain a bright high contrast image like that? The 'quality' you are talking about is the same kind of 'quality' that you get from an LCD TV set to Dynamic mode - attracts your attention on the shop floor, but doesn't give a natural image you can live with in your living room. But I guess it's something some would like.

The gamma control can to some degree accentuate contrast, but it's values below 1.0 that do that, not ones above 1.0.

The PlayStation version is also more colorful and bright (Whites more whites and blacks more blacks.)
Probably the PC version was so colorless, but give it a plus in contrast would be fine, as does dgvoodoo, if everything looks very grey and colorless.

Yes, but that would have been displayed on your TV, which you had set the contrast and brightness to your taste.

It would be fine to provide that as an option, yes.

Yes, but I've played with emulator on a pc monitor and is also more colorful and bright than pc version
Even in software version (PC) is more colorful and contrasted than the 3D patch!

I have observed that several parameters glide2x.ovl editing that might (?) changed, but the game does not work if I do 🤣

example:
GRGAMMACORRECTIONVALUE @
GRCONSTANTCOLORVALUE

Thanks

But check how it looks if you just start a new game and don't move, look at the dark wall. In all wrappers (except dgvoodoo) it looks like on real voodoo 1 and voodoo 2 cards.

But in dgvoodoo it looks indeed more like on software, but does it look correct? It looks strange in my opinion. In software mode it looked rather ok, but with dgvoodoo it looks just strange... as if colors were wrong (even with gamma 100%)

I'm really confused now: those images that you say are what you want are from Glidos using a texture pack.
