for all where blood not will start under windows xp:
try to start it over commandline to see the errormessage.
is this like this: "src\asound.....#35......" blablabla, add the following lines to your CONFIG.NT in the windows\system32 folder

FILES=80
BUFFERS=80

(add this to vdmsound-config will NOT have the same effect and will NOT work)

ok, i hope, i can help some people.

and NOW.....try this (so you have a voodoo2 in your xp-system):

install glidos 1.28
download THIS driver for voodoo2: http://www.3dfxzone.it/dir/3dfx/voodoo2/downl … 2_4.0_xp_ge.htm (other versions will not work & crash your system)
unpack the package with winrar
then unpack the file setup.exe with winrar
go to folder setup\driver2k
copy the files glide2x.dll and glide3x.dll in your glidos-folder (backup or rename the glide2x.dll in your glidos-folder before you do this)
start glidos and start blood.
you will see blood will start with your REAL voodoo 2 under windows xp and you will see some graphic-corruptions.
end blood and start it AGAIN with the same configuration.
you will see, it´s work perfectly.

UNFORTUNATELY: it works not for long 😢
after some time the screen goes bright and when you use alt/tab and right mousebutton you can close glidos and you will see a errormessage from glidos (read failure).

is it possible, that this work without errors???
OR is it possible to fix the ati-IgnorePaletteChange-"bug"???
with IgnorePaletteChange=1 blood will running very fast at my radeon 9800pro, but with some graphic-errors or with IgnorePaletteChange=0 blood is very slow without graphic-errors)
