Hello, im Jordan, a german fan of WW2 and WW1-flightsims and read today of your project in the german IL2-Forum.
I've just done all the steps suggestet by [SRG]Splindy, installed RB2, Patch 1.5, 3D-Patch, copied your *.dll and *.ini file into the RB2 folder, installed the "Promised land all season" super-patch and all the 7 "Western Front"-patches.

The game looks far better I used to know now in 1024x768 and runs very fast on my AthlonXP 1800+, ... but only for about 1 min.
First i thought it slows terribly down when approaching an other aircraft but that doesnt seem to matter, it just drops from appr. 60+ fps to 0,5 fps (yes, FAR below 1 fps !) after appr. 1 minute !

My question: Is it a known issue on ATI Radeon 8500 or did i miss any parameter/ setting ??

BTW: I use the Omega-Driver 2.4.68 from http://www.omegacorner.com on Win98SE.
