Descent 2 and Vdos32

Postby buckeye » 2018-9-24 @ 13:53

Trying to get Descent 2 and Glidos working on my WinXP SP2 rig but am getting this message from Glidos:

"Vdos32 must be unlocked before use"

The problem is I don't have internet access with this system but have internet access with my work pc. Is there anyway
to unlock it thru that and transfer somehow?

Also received password to unlock Glidos itself, can that somehow be transferred also to non-internet pc?

For Glidos, you could stick the GlidosID in a text file on a USB stick to transfer it to your work machine and then bring back the unlock code the same way.

Vdos32 will be problematic, but that's rarely used these days because it works only on 32bit versions of Windows.

Thank you sir!

Regarding Vdos32, yeah this is for a WinXP 32bit system for "retro stuff" 2002-2006 era. If it doesn't work I'll just fall back on Dosbox.
