With this, individual configurations may be kept 'per application' and also game specific patches can be made.

Nice, thanks...

I love Zeus, he's NEVER satisfied. And his changelogs read like a roadmap for other Glide wrapper authors :)

Not 100% on topic but I didn't find any more suitable thread to ask:
The compatibility list, lists all the glide games? I'm interested in finding all dos glide games, so I thought of checking the compatibility list and filter all those for dos. Does this list cover what I'm looking for or I have to extend my search to other sources?
Sorry if this is already discussed elsewhere but the search terms are way too common to be sure about it...

Yes, Zeus's nGlide compatibility list is very thorough and includes all the DOS games as well as Windows games (if I recall correctly). There's others though. Here's mine from 2012 (only minor changes have yet to be made since then), and I link to vetz's list, Gamecollector's list, and robertmo's list. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=886

I want to get this up and working on Mobygames but they're strangely resistant to changes like this.

Sadly, if we stickied every useful thread on here, we'd have several hundred stickies before you got to the first new thread.

I'm sorry that you can't even search for "Glide" on VOGONS without having the search engine return "your search terms are way to common". Probably best to use Google and restrict the search to VOGONS by adding "site:vogons.org" to your query, in that situation.

All games included in Zeus' and my lists are supporting glide. My list is tested by myself. And I'm testing it versus any new nGlide release.
But of course there are glide games which aren't included. Because I don't have a good copy to test. Or didn't know about this game at all. Some candidates are listed here.
IMHO, the DOS list is complete, a chance is almost none to find a non-included DOS glide game. Even if this game is OEM release only. So you can use this list as the basis.

I am grateful that vetz and yourself and Zeus and robertmo put together your own (separate) lists when I left mine to rot years ago. :)

Re: nGlide

Postby leileilol » 2015-3-07 @ 00:12

While it's not on the list this version of nGlide does happen to fix the instability of paletted texture mode in Q3V and OA3 (which uses the indexed alpha texture format)

so yay now i can test 'native' paletted texturing from the convenience of my modern computer!

Code: Select all
GL_RENDERER: 3Dfx/Voodoo5 (tm)/2 TMUs/32 MB SGRAM/3DNow!/stand-alone (Jan 17 2000)
Initializing OpenGL extensions
...GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc not found
...ignoring GL_S3_s3tc
...using GL_EXT_texture_env_add
...using GL_ARB_multitexture
...using GL_EXT_compiled_vertex_array
...GL_EXT_texture_filter_anisotropic not found
...GL_ARB_vertex_shader not found
...using GL_EXT_paletted_texture
INIT PALETTE......
PALETTE LOADDEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!1
15bpp lookup generation.
................................Initializing Shaders

Thanks Zeus :)

Well, there is 1 nGlide related question.
There is a link to my old glide games list in this post.
The problem is - the link was changed. And I can't add something in "Deep Throught".
P.S. Current windows glide list have 271 "native" games and 29 "minigl" games.
