Larry's back! I must admit I've never played the original - I have vague memories of it being discussed in primary school and I snuck the odd peak at friend's houses, but that's about it. I have the full collection on CD so will get to them some day.

Was it actually funny?

Yup I always thought the sierra games had great scripts - police quest, kings quest, quest for glory, leisure suit larry, space quest.

It was funny and had its moments.

I played leisure suit larry 1, 3 and 5 extensively.

I am a backer. How do you get it?

So you took part in the kickstarter and you don't know how to get it?

It would seem to have been poorly advertised to backers...

Personally I grabbed a non DRM version from their own site 😀 It's the first Kickstarter that I backed to have been released and it's pretty good (though I'm sure I shouldn't have backed it for as much as I did)

I like this version quite a bit. The music is really outstanding. The animation is ok for a game that was produced this quickly and with such a small team. It really is the best version of Larry since Larry 7. They changed some of the puzzles around slightly, but nothing that will stump you for long.

Try to find the game SoftPorn Adventure. It's very nearly a 100% identical text version of LSL In the Land of the Lounge Lizards.

For more kinky text adventure goodness you could also try Infocom's Leather Goddesses of Phobos.
