Has anyone here taken a swing at this lately?

Apparently the bximage utility has been updated as well.

I have taken a swing at the latest version of Bochs...and FINALLY, just finally...SLiRP networking from Qemu has been implemented!

I was wondering if it would be a great idea for someone to implement SLIRP networking in DOSBox v0.74...if it is possible! 😁

How does "SLiRP networking from QEMU" work? I know about this example in which one QEMU session uses Twinsock to communicate via the Internet with another QEMU session running tshost. In theory, if you could get tshost running in Windows, then you could connect Win 3.x running in DOSBox via a loopback device.

SLiRP networking does away with the use of WinPCap and the Microsoft Loopback Adapter. SLiRP networking is the easiest component to use to connect over a network. Have a look here: http://wiki.qemu.org/Documentation/Networking

Prior to this, I had to use WinPCap and a Microsoft Loopback Adapter to connect to the internet under Bochs. However, networking never worked due to many broken features.

Interesting that they adapted the DOSBox Voodoo patch back in April, I completely missed that news...
