The Witcher novel has finally been translated into English.
Don't forget you should read all the short stories first.

The Last Wish (7 short stories) 1993, English edition: 2007
Sword of Destiny (6 short stories) 1992, English edition: 2015
Blood of Elves 1994, English edition: 2008
Time of Contempt 1995, English edition: 2013
Baptism of Fire 1996, English edition: 2014
The Tower of Swallows 1997, English edition: 2016
Lady of the Lake 1999, English edition: 2017

There are two more short stories and one longer one which hasn't been translated yet. But the most important ones are already done. You have to read them all in one reading if you want to remember the plot. 😀

Oh..., and don't even try to think about watching a tv series (based on few short stories) or movie (based on tv series 😉) before...

Just don't forget it had also been translated to many other languages before. It is best to read it in your native language cause of its rather advanced vocabulary.

I heard that the English translation is unfortunately one of the worst, at least when it comes to the older books.
I only read the original. The text is full of archaisms, unusual dialects, wordplays etc.
This makes it very hard to translate faithfully.

It looks they chose to translate Hussite Trilogy first.
first book The Tower of Fools is already translated to English.

Got season 1 DVD for xmas, already finished binge watching it. After reading the books it's a little disappointing in that
some of the monsters (strigga) didn't look as expected. Wished somebody else played Ciri but Geralt and Yennefer
seemed "spot on". Hopefully season 2 will wrap up quickly.
