Salut!

I have to figure out why the pictures do not work. I'll edit the post. Thanks for pointing that out. 😀

Vlad.

ANd there's my place... As a photographer, I try to load my pictures on old computers too - picture on the left screen is viewed by a 486-DX2 digital venturis in Win311/ACDsee) Some computers are under the table - two x-86, amiga3000 and macintosh... In the center is a PS/2 model 40SX machine...

Is this too much voodoo?

The one I have is from my childhood (I built it again and again so much during that time that I still can build it without using instructions). I will not be exaggerating by saying this set is the reason I'm an engineer now.

In short, it's a crime not to keep it. 🤣

PS: 8880 is awesome, too

Sorry for the bad quality of the photos, I've taken them just quickly with the phone - the first one is about my main PC at home, the others are taken in my garage/lab:

The octopus is my Arduino Nano cabled for my floppy-music project.. somewhere in the photos, behind the seat of the workbench, there is the wood panel with attached the 8 floppy drives orchestra 😜

This was a work in progress, with only 3-4 active floppy drives - now I've finally managed to get all the 8 drives working with the right MIDI files... I'm waiting for others breadboard cables, too useful in these project:

I have another desk with my main PC and other stuff but this is where I spend most of my time. The black cabinet is actually an audio cabinet but I found it worked perfectly for holding two towers and one desktop. I also normally have my dos PC on top but i was recently testing some boards on top so it doubles as my test bench.

I have a four port Kvm that I use to hook up the three systems as well as using the fourth attachment for the dos PC/test bench.

The three systems inside are my phenom 945 on top, my FX60 on the bottom left, and my dual P3 500 on the bottom right (the one that is running on the pics).

The black case of your FX60, looks exactly like my own Coolermaster Centurion 5, except yours has 2 metal colored sides as well as a metal colored top where mine have only the 2 metal colored sides. Is yours some older or newer version of the Centurion 5? And does it have the PSU mounted top or bottom?

Btw, there was also a completely black variant of the Centurion 5 which imo looked even better 😀

Yes you are correct. It is definitely a cooler master case even though it says "power spec" on it. I remember it coming in a cooler master box and it even came with a cooler master case badge. Not to mention it says "powered by cooler master". I wonder if the power spec line was made for a certain store or distributor only or something along those lines. The PSU is on the top.

I got the case in late 2008. I really like it. Very solid structure despite it being fairly inexpensive (I think it was $50 or so).

The "powered by cooler master" font looks very similar to the "cooler master" font on my own rig here (I'm typing this message from this rig) and mine doesn't have the case badge and the "PowerSpec" to the right of the case badge, it's just empty space on mine.

To the right your case seems to be missing the logo (I suppose the logo on my case is a stylized roman helmet with a "5" at the spot where the vizor-thingy on/in the helmet should be, hence "Centurion 5").

Personally, I'd be just as happy with your variant I think. I might even slightly prefer getting one of your variants instead of another identical one.

It was relatively cheap, looks good, good airflow for it's days and good price, but it's not very silent and one thing I really don't like is that it's kinda hard to remove the front bezel of the case.

Here is an update on my game room area...still have a lot of work to do with wiring and adding more of my systems out of storage, and I've run out of shelf space already 🤣.

That's a fantastic setup retrofanatic! I love the double CRT goodness. Can you tell us more about the gear under the CRT on the right?

Didn't you only just install those shelves? And now you need more! Those boxes stacked on the shelf in the last pic look way too precarious, makes me uncomfortable!
