Long time ago in a land far away a neglected matherboard was looking for new home. Matherboard's name was Acrotech MBA-014.

Acrotech was given an incredible makeover and her silicone heart AMD 286-16 was once again happy. I installed new memory RAM and used DIP swithches to teach her how save happy thoughts:

But in order to give her new personality I needed something bigger. So I hooked her up with IDE controller card and HDD WDA-L80. To show her inner beauty I hooked her up with Trident TVGA9000B:

Finally it was time to find her new home. A nice chassis with two floppies and CD-ROM was a perfect fit:

After a day of work I was finnaly able to marvel over her beauty:

That case is great!

Now you just need a 12MHz 80287 to go with the Am80286. Well, not sure if *need* is the right word.

How is a Multimedia 286 complete without a Sound Blaster?

Sure - I gave her the power of speech:

'Zat an Aztech card? Hm... I dunno, I think I'm going to advocate for a good old fashioned PC-speaker build here. 😁 I mean really... who had a sound card and CD-ROM in their 286 back then? Maybe an Ad Lib...

Love the case though, and the Teac FD-55 looks right at home. All it needs is a messy desk with a CRT under the credenza, a small clip-on lamp, and a copy of Battle Chess running.
