Yup. The ones that are VX have that written on the chips (I have one).

This is old thread, but I just got MS5129 with dead RTC battery. It does not allow to boot at this point, only BIOS and thats all.
Removed the old battery and drilled until battery pins could be removed from old holder.
Soldered short wires between socket drill holes and IC pins to avoid then from cracking. No need to wire anything to new battery holder, it is connected to socket drill holes correctly.
Hobby drill (not dremel) did the job.
After blowing dust away, it looks OK. I'll probably just glue plastic black sheet on top.
Now it boots again! Thank you Oldskoolmaniac, you made this job a lot easier.

I wonder if the design was meant for a chip with external battery and crystal such as the Dallas DS1285.
I'm considering trying it out.
