I used to have this great old gaming rig for playing old games.

Processor AMD 486 DX 120mhz (40mhz bus) (it was probaly the fastest 486 that was in existance. (yes AMD made 486 processors and not just intel)

I forget the video card. I think it was an s3 trio card.

20x cd rom drive.

Yahmha Sound card (that can emulate other sound cards such as SB and Adlib).

and that was pretty much it. It was such a great rig I wish I still had it. I used to play doom,doom2 wolf3d, and the old sierra games. Im just letting you guys know thats my current dream retro rig.

What happened to your old machine? Maybe you could get it back, running your old games again 😉

Btw, AMD made even faster 486 CPUs, like the AMD 5x86 with 133 MHz, which was marketed to perform like Pentium 75, but was basically a 486 with x4 multiplier.

Oh my dad got rid of it. Now I have an old pentium 166. It dont matter now since theres dosbox to run stuff in xp and other ways of getting rid of them timer bugs.
