A p100 with:
A non working cd drive
non working sound card
no 5.25 inch floppy drive
Only a 3.5 floppy drive
wrong dos version number
runs nicely
it has good 3.5 inch floppy dos support
It's got the pc speaker which is better than sound blaster
windows 95 with internet explorer
ipc select series
It's a yes tried and tested for networking which newer computers are not.
It a pentium s 100 mhz
It has a monitar
The computer runs nicely and has so for years and years.
Call me crazy but i think this is a better computer than those 486 computers.
It's a computer that with a little bit of work can be a perfect dos gaming computer

You should be able to find an old CD-drive that works with it though.

Where I live, this isn't the definition of 'very good'

The post itself or the specs?

A p100 with:

A P100 what? Compaq/Dell/etc..

A non working cd drive

Why is it not working? What brand? What speed?

non working sound card

Why is it not working? What brand? What kind of sound card?

no 5.25 inch floppy drive

whooptydoo!

wrong dos version number

How can a DOS version number be wrong?

runs nicely

My 286@12mhz ran nicely too.

it has good 3.5 inch floppy dos support

How so?

It's got the pc speaker which is better than sound blaster

Better than the SB for what? Let me guess PC Speaker sounds?

windows 95 with internet explorer

Which version of 95? 95B? (I think that's the one that came with IE).

ipc select series

Ah, I'm guess that this all the way down at the bottom of your post is the brand of the computer.

It's a yes tried and tested for networking which newer computers are not.

Well good thing "it's a yes", whatever that means.
Tested for networking! WOW! So newer computers never get their "networking" tested?

It a pentium s 100 mhz

Huh. Really? Are you sure? You posted this info at the top of your post. I guess your posting it twice either to emphasize that you have a P100 or your trying to convince yourself that you have a 100. Hopefully it's the former.

It has a monitar

First, what is a "monitar".
Second, What model? What size? Does it work?

The computer runs nicely and has so for years and years.

Runs nicely compared to what? As I noticed above my 286@12mhz ran nicely.....and it did so for years and years.
I think the key question is does this computer actually work?

Call me crazy but i think this is a better computer than those 486 computers.

What "486 computers"? There were tons of 486 computers out there when the Pentiums were introduced and I can guarantee that at least some were better than some of the pentiums. For instance I had a 486DX4/100 with a VLB Bus.

It's a computer that with a little bit of work can be a perfect dos gaming computer.

You should know better than this. There is no perfect DOS gaming computer. Never has been, never will be.

DosFreak: I now this sounds maybe screwed. But quite a few (if not many) of Abyss posts are to me pointless, And I am at least trying to sound intelligent, and not posting rubbish. Even though my posts can be strange, but in reality I am just trying to suck as much info to me, because I know the only way I can learn is by reading. And follow the rules, and try to help out as much as possible. But some of Abyss posts just makes me go "wtf" inside. Anyway I was just thinking.

Don't you people know how to shrug and move on?

The enhanced vga monitor works.
It can play a lot of the dos games on 3.5 floppy inch disks.
Whenever i go into dos mode it says wrong dos version nmber and then locks up.
IPC select series is the computer brand.
I don't know what sound cards in their but it no longer works.
I have no clue on my cd crive but it is also broken.
windows 95 internet explorer is what it says when starting up so i do not know what vwrsion it is.
100 mhz pentium s is what it is.
I have no idea on the video card or other specs.
No computer is perfect.
The computer is great.
I guess no one else agrees on that though oh well.
I would not sell that computer for any other computer.

You have to understand him. This computer is a living thing. After running for years now, teH ghost in the (his) machine has turned his computer into a pet animal.

p.s.: We should have a random image thread.
