Definitely not Windows 2.
Dos 6.2 sounds good!
Is dos 6.0 worse than dos 6.2? I mean dosbox is basically 5.0 and it is compatible with alot of games.
Not aware of the differences but I doubt it would matter.
Personally I use Dos 6.22 (you can get download free update from Microsoft) and all my Retro games work fine.
I don't think DOSBox uses MS Dos 5.0...
Okay, so I can upgrade from 6.0 to 6.2?
You can upgrade to 6.22 from any MS DOS version 5 or higher I believe.
Well, I won't have to worry about that because I found dos 6.2 install disks lying around 😁
This page details the differences between DOS 6.0 and 6.2

Basically some minor but noticable changes. Enough to reccomend 6.2 over 6.0
The difference between 6.2, 6.21 and 6.22 is that DoubleSpace is removed in 6.21 and 6.22 includes DriveSpace as its replacement. If this is a gaming machine I wouldn't bother with disk compression as some games have issues with it, and it increases your chances of data loss if your system crashes or loses power.
If you are squeamish, don't prod the beach rubble.
This will be a gaming machine. My specs are here My retro setup.
The sound card is incorrect I upgraded to an sb16 but hte rest of the specs are correct.

Well, I'm back to square one again, my hd just crapped out again... >:O
