I have been working in a new old computer.

1. Asus p3b-f with p3/450 katmai processor I got off ebay ridiculously cheap

2. Ensoniq voodoo banshee video card that I salvaged from a computer on a garbage pile 😀

3. Sound Blaster AWE64

4. Seagate 80-gigabyte drive

5. DVD-R and DVD-Rom drives (new, lite-on)

6. Antec NSK4482 case (also new)

I am very pleased with this system.

Sounds like a nice system, what OS are you going to run? What about your ram?

I also put my PIII 1ghz 512 80gb DVD Geforce 3 build in a brand new case worked out well.

Best of luck and look forward to seeing pics.

You have a 80gig seagate on there stuck at ATA-33 speeds? That stinks. Otherwise great system. Just purchased a ASUS P3BF off ebay today! Hope it is at good as my Abit BE6-II board was.

Here's one.

I don't think they were very popular because an overclocked 440BX was faster except for the AGP slot. Even at 89mhz 2x AGP was still slower than a 4x AGP at 66mhz.

You can't put a slot 1 CPU in that one. 🤣

I loves me the Apollo Pro 133A chipset.

I know the 440BX was faster, but who cares, the 133A is hot in it's own sort of way. The 133A is the girl next door of chipsets.

I have a couple of Tyan 1854 boards with the Apollo Pro 133 chipset. I could never get voodoo and awe 64 to coexist - I would always wind up with choppy screens and stuttering sound. I tried everything, and I do mean everything. I didn't have the problem with BX or with MVP3.
