I have an IBM Intellistation M Pro with 2 PIII-450s in it. This would make a poor Win9x machine because of the dual processors. I already have an XP system that outclasses it.

It was designed for NT, but I'm not terribly interested in old NT. Unless there's something notable that runs on NT but not 9x or XP. I kind of doubt it though. I was thinking of trying another, more unusual, vintage OS. Perhaps OS/2? BeOS? AROS? What would you do with this machine?

Maybe I'll just disable one of the CPUs and leave it as an extra 9x machine for LAN games. Seems like the boring answer though.

With Windows NT, I guess you could play some old OpenGL games. I think your idea to tinker with other operating systems is good. BeOS is something I haven't used since 2001 but I remember being pretty fond of it and having some fun with it. The computer should also do well with Windows 2000. If nothing else, you could slap a big hard drive into it and turn the thing into a server.
